ARTIST BIO

Madelaine is a NYC based dancer from Vancouver, Canada. She trained on scholarship at the Ailey School under the mentorship of Alvin Ailey dancer, Kanji Segawa, before joining Martha Graham's second company, Graham 2 in 2018. Madelaine has held soloist Graham roles in The Owl and the Pussycat, El Penitente and Diversion of Angels and has performed at NYC venues including The Joyce Theatre. Madelaine is the Armgard Von Bardeleben, Excellence in Graham Technique award recipient of 2019. She now performs with Alison Cook-Beatty Dance, a company which shares social and political voices, and she partakes in interdisciplinary arts projects for humanitarian causes. She is a certified RAD Ballet and Graham technique teacher.
